Pastor Jonathan and Cara came to Calvary in December of 2022 to become the pastor after Bro. Steve Schag's retirement.  They are thrilled that God led them to Shelby, and honored to have a place to serve Him!  They have four children: Joy, Noelle, Luke, Micah...and one more on the way!

Brother Schag started Calvary Baptist Church in 1981 with his wife, Sonjia.  By God's grace, they served here faithfully for over forty years, and still remain active and faithful in the church today.  Brother Schag has been the mayor of the city of Shelby for the past nine years.
